I am working towards a show in late 2021 at an as-yet-undisclosed location in Sacramento. In the meantime, I am chewing through the materials in my shop and venturing out very little.
I also have a commitment from the Pence Gallery in Davis for a one-person show in late 2022. So, all things considered, I am doing well.
"Memories of a New Future"
September 10 through November 14, 2020 at the Barn Gallery on the Gibson House property in Woodland, CA. This exhibition features seven artists' take on embarkation, transition and borders. A mixed bag for sure, but worth the effort. Open every Thursday 4:30-7pm and select Saturdays or by appt. Browse YoloArts.org for more specifics.
My work, "Escaping the Known", is about leaving the familiar and fleeing the predictable future you had planned for an unknown one. What should you take? What is left behind? Your choices are crucial but inevitably somewhat rushed. Yet they help you get where you are going.
Here's a short 3-minute video I made about the work: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sd0pVATFeE
