I made a short video on making the oars for my installation, "Leaving the Known". It is about leaving the familiar and fleeing the predictable future you had planned for an unknown one. What should you take? What is left behind? Your choices are crucial but inevitably somewhat rushed. Yet they help you get where you are going.

The show ran from September 10 through November 14, 2020, at the Barn Gallery on the historic Gibson House property in Woodland, CA. This exhibition featured seven artists' take on embarkation, transition, and borders.
